Piggy Tails

Ok.. so those of you who know me may or may not know how much I LOVE to do Abby's hair!! Well, I have been waiting until Laurens hair is long enough to do ANYTHING with it.. and guess what?? It happened tonight!! While she was taking a bath I put her hair in two little piggy tails.. I must say.. She is ADORABLE!!!!! I am so excited that I can actually do something cute with her hair now other than bows bigger than her head!! I will probably still have her wear those though.. they are too stinking adorable too!! :) Heres some cute pictures of my adorable little Lauren!!

Decorating Paper Pumpkins

Yesterday (Monday) we went over to my friend Sara's house and the kids decorated some pumpkins. When the kids where done with their pumpkins, they went to the basement and all played dress up!! While they were down playing, Lauren decided that she wanted to decorate a pumpkin too so she started putting more glitter and glue (but it was closed thank goodness.. :) ) on Abbys.. it was so cute!! They also had a big piece of paper on the floor they could color on and Lauren loved that. That girl grows up more and more everyday!! I didn't get a cute picture of Lauren with the glitter but here are the cute pictures of them decorating.

New Camera!!

YEAH!!! We have a new camera (thank's Rick & Doris!!!) I can't wait to really take it out and use it!! Yesterday we went to Grandma and Grandpa Flanders house and had a pot luck dinner and had family pictures taken. Abby LOVES to play dress up at the grandparents house and they actually bought a cute new outfit..Abby was in Heaven!! Here's a cute picture of her in it. (Using my new camera!!) hehe.. I am just SOO excited!

Amazing friends!!

How may you ask did I get those wonderful pictures to add to my post below?? My amazing friends of course!! Ok.. so who could ask for better friends than I have?? Nobody!! I seriously think I am truly blessed to know the people that I do. If I EVER need anyone to talk to, complain to, cry to, laugh with or anything.. I have the most amazing friends that are always there for me!! I have wonderful friends.. but seriously.. more than the fact that they take pictures for me, I am truly blessed to have them in my life!! I just want to tell you about a few of them...

I have a friend that I have been friends with since I was 10 years old and when we were in our little Merry Miss Class (when they used to have it) we would joke that when we grew up she would have a little boy and I would have a little girl and they would get married and we would really be family!! Umm.. she has a little boy and I have my little Abby AND Lauren.. he can choose if he likes them a little older or a little younger.. hehe.. Little do they know we have already betrothed them!! :) We also used to say that we would have bbqs and hang out all the time!! Well.. it is pretty true because we now hang out pretty much once a week and we have fun traditions around the holidays with our two little families. I am SOO lucky to have her in my life.

Living in South Salt Lake I met the MOST AMAZING people!! I always playfully call it the "ghetto" but really I think of that place as a little slice of Heaven.. hehe.. corny right?? But seriously.. I have made the most amazing lifelong friends!! Even though I have maybe known some of them only a few years or so, I think of them as true friends that I hope I have the priviledge of knowing and being friends with for the rest of my life!! I was so sad when we all moved away from eachother and it wasn't so easy to see eachother as it was every Sunday.. I won't deny there were many tears shed then.. I was so afraid of losing all of you, but I know that I haven't and as strange as it seems to me.. I feel like our friendship is even stonger now!! I am so lucky as well because I was even able to reconnect with a HS friend of mine though one of those friends!!

I am sorry this is so corny and all over the place, but I just feel truly blessed to have you all in my life. Thank you!!

Gardner Village

Every week (Wednesday) I get the privilege of hanging out with some of my friends and there kiddies and this week was no exception... this week we went to Gardner Village.. Abby got a pony ride (which she absolutely LOVED!!!!) I didn't have Lauren go on a pony because that girl is afraid of the merry go round!! hehe. both girls went into the petting zoo though. I was really shocked at Lauren.. that girl has NO fear!! She would just go right up to all the animals and some of them she would even try to get ON!! Abby on the other hand loved to just play on the little bridge that they had and when an animal walked by she would maybe put her hand out to touch it.. Funny girl!!

Then afterwards we had a little picnic and then walked around and looked at all the fun witches they have on display there. That was probably Abby's favorite part.. (even above the pony ride!!) She told me this year that she wants to be BOTH a witch AND Snow White.. Anyone have any ideas how to do THAT!! :)

Camera Broken!!

I am soooo bummed out right now.. I probably won't be posting any more for a bit because my camera is busted!! These last couple posts are the last pictures I was able to take on my camera. We are looking for a new one though. Any ideas?? I have no idea!! I haven't bought a camera in a long time!!

I am really sad though because Lauren just started walking on Thursday!! I mean, she has been taking steps here and there for about a month, but on Thursday she just got up and started walking EVERYWHERE!! I wanted to get a cute video of it to share.. but I guess that will have to wait. *wiping a tear from my eye*

Utah State Fair

Last Friday we went to the Utah State Fair with a couple of our friends. The girls loved looking at the animals. Laurens Ultimate favorite were the pigs.. Kinda funny!
My camera is having a bit of a problem right now so I didn't get as many pictures as I would've liked, but I thought this picture of our little family was cute!!

More Birthday Parties

A couple of Saturdays ago we went to another cute princess birthday party for one of Abby's friends. They had a fun bounce house!! Lauren wanted to go inside so bad, but we didn't dare. As soon as everyone was out and playing with the pinata, then she had her turn. She LOVED it!!

Then last Saturday we went to another birthday party for another one of Abby's friends. I think we are all clear of birthday parties now until Abby's.. :)

On September 3rd a bunch of my friends and their kiddies went on a tour of a Candy Factory!! At then end of the tour they give everyone their own bag of taffy!! The girls loved it and I think it was a real hit!! My camera was out of batteries though so I wasn't able to get any pictures of it!! :(
