Candy Factory

Today we went on a tour of the "Sweet's Candy Factory." It is so fun to go and see how the candy is made and it is even more fun to EAT the free taffy they give you at the end!! The only problem is that they have candy for a pretty good price, so I just had to buy myself some chocolate covered cinnamon bears and some Rasberry Sticks!!! YUMMY!! We all had such a fun time. Abby loved the "hats" that they made us wear. She didn't want to take hers off and she wouldn't let me throw it away. She made me keep hers.

Nap Time

I don't understand it.. it is beyond me.. Why doesn't Abigail take a nap DURING her quiet time??? I will never understand I guess.. So instead she was so tired that she fell asleep yesterday at the dinner table. It was so cute that I had to take a picture!!

Catch Up

Ok.. So I haven't blogged FOREVER!!! Our computer was on the "fritz" for about a week or so and then I just got busy.. so here we go.. Catch up time..

First of all.. we went to Disney on Ice on March 12th. SO much fun!! It was just as much fun watching Abby as it was the show. I can't wait till next year when I can take both of the girls. (Lauren was a little young this year)










On one afternoon, I thought it would be fun to get out a computer box that Mike had brought home a while ago and make them a little "clubhouse".. I didn't realize it was going to be such a HIT!! I still have the huge box in my living room.. luckily it doesn't take TOO much room, but everyday Lauren comes running in and plays in it. If we ever can't find something, that is the first place we look because Lauren has had a habit of stashing our belongings in there!! :)






I was SO sad one night... I took Lauren out of the bathtub and I found these marks on her arms and stomach. I was so nervous that I had my parents come over and take a look at her as well (Mike was at a game night and I wasn't going to make him come home unless it was an emergency) I called instacare and her doctor to see if it might be ringworm. My dr told me that she didn't think it was because ringworm doesn't come on so fast.. so we decided that it must be a rash of some kind. So I gave her some benadryl and it went mostly away after a few hours. The only frustrating thing now is that I am not sure what my cute girl is allergic too... :( So I have to watch her closely to make sure it doesn't happen again!!

Playing on a Rather Blustery Day!!

I don't know about you, but I LOVE playing out in the wind. So do Abby and Lauren! Lauren just kept giggling when a huge gush of wind would almost knock her down! Abby keeps bugging me that she wants to go fly a kite, but we haven't been able to buy one at the store yet.. SO.. I made some homemade kites.. haha.. Ok.. so all I did was get a plastic grocery bag, tie some yarn into a V and then add more sting and a pensil for them to hold it. (Thanks Sara for the idea!!) It might not have gone up in the air more than 3 feet, but it was a HIT!!! They ran back and forth for a good hour!! It really was a FUN day!!

Here are some random things that we did in February...


Lauren and Abby played, played, played.. They are so stinking cute and Lauren absolutely LOVES her big sister.

We went to Iggy's with my mom, dad, sister Robin and her hubby Brett (who came down from Idaho for a weekend visit). It was so much fun!

Abby really enjoyed painting her little butterfly bank. She is SO proud of it!!

Gotta love those Sunday afternoon naps!!!

Playdate at the Zoo

So this past Wednesday I took the girls to the Zoo for our playdate. Unfortunetly, we didn't know that it was FREE day at the Zoo! So it was alot more crowded than we expected, but we still had a great time. Abby always has SO much fun with her friends. Lauren loved to be out of her stroller and walk as much as she could. When we left the Zoo that day, both my girls had a WONDERFUL nap!! I haven't had both of them take a nap at the same time in many, many months!! I forgot my camera, so my wonderful friend Shawna took some pictures for me!! THANK YOU SHAWNA!! Here are the cute pictures of our fun day! :)
