July 3rd & July 4th 2009

We had a fun and busy holiday this year. On July 3rd we went with Mike's family to the Centerville fireworks, but had to leave early because it was going to be an EARLY morning the next day.
Here was our schedule for the 4th of July...

8am: Had to take Abby to Fashion Place mall so she could be in the Murray City parade.

8:30 am: The parade begins.. Lauren had a fun time watching it with my family. I was only able to watch maybe 30 min of it because when Abby's float came past us, I had to walk to the car and go pick her up at Murray Park. Unfortunatly, I didn't know that I didn't have to leave right away to pick her up. It took about 45 min for her to get to the end!! Now I know better for next year I guess!!

About 11am: The girls were able to have some quiet time at home.. :)

2pm: BBQ at my parents house. The girls had alot of fun running though the sprinklers as well.

7pm: Go to the Murray Park and watch their little program and fireworks. The girls really enjoy this every year. This year we actually ran into our neighbor that was there as well. Abby and Aliayah had a fun time dancing!! Abby didn't want to watch the fireworks with us this year.. she made a new friend named Sara (probably about 16 years old) and her brother (probably around 14 years old) that were sitting behind us and she wanted to watch the fireworks with them.. She talked their ear off the whole time!! haha.. I love our little Abby!!

We had such a fun time!!! This is such a fun holiday for my family. It is my mom's favorite holiday so it makes it extra fun to get to hang out with them all day!! Love you guys!!

Taylorsville Dayzz

We went to Taylorsville Dayzz on Monday night with my friend Sara and her little family. We walked around and looked at the booths, the girls played in the playground and then we listened to the Utah Symphony and watched the fireworks to end the night. The girls had such a fun time!!

Hair Cuts

Liberty Park

Last Wednesday I went to Liberty Park with some friends. Abby had so much fun running through the water fountains. Lauren was a little nervous about all the water, but she had a blast playing in the playground!!

Lagoon!!

A couple weeks ago we were able to take the girls to Lagoon. They had a BLAST!! Last year Abigail was too scared to go on ANYTHING!! This year her and Lauren were able to go on almost everything together and I really think that helped ALOT!! I think BOTH of their favorite rides is Puff the Magic Dragon!! Even Lauren was SO excited to get on it for the first time!! Abby keeps asking me when we get to go again!! I am so glad they had so much fun!!

Wheeler Farm

On Thursday we went to Wheeler Farm with my sister in law Heather and her little girl Raiyah. The girls had a fun time feeding the ducks, going on the wagon ride and looking at all the animals. It was a beautiful day to go!!

Abby's Dance Performance

Abby had a dance performance last night. She did AMAZING!! She danced to "Jailhouse Rock." I LOVED their little outfits! It was an eventful night though... The first half of the dance was held outside on the big stage, but a HUGE storm came rolling in and they had to move it to the little stage inside. Luckily Abby was able to perform her dance with her class outside before it got bad!! Lauren had a fun time splashing in all the puddles!! She was SOAKED by the end of the night!! Abby and I also had a fun mother/daughter dance as well. We had a BLAST!! Here are some fun pictures of Abby doing her little dance and a picture of her and her little classmates! SO cute!

Princess Storytime

Today we went to the Holladay Library and they had a "Princess Storytime" there. (Thank you Chesney for telling me about it!) They had a fun princess come and tell them a story, sang them a song, taught them to dance like a princess and they were able to take their picture with her. Abby just ate it up! Lauren wasn't so sure though, she wanted to stay by me and just watch her from a distance. They had such a fun time!! This girl that played the princess is AMAZING!! She is going to be performing at different libraries this summer so we are definetly going to try to catch her again!! Here are some fun pictures from today.
